Meet the Teachers

Caitlin Geier – Program Director, Caitlin Geier, teaches students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds with a commitment to the highest standards of technique and artistic expression.  After graduating from the University of Miami and years of touring and teaching for other studios and dance conventions, she has opened her home studio as a school and has recently partnered up with AMVETS and the Veterans Memorial Center to bring dance and movement classes to Culver City for ages 3 and up. Her students are empowered to creatively express themselves and test their limits through a dedicated practice they are proud to truly work hard for. She grew up in Longwood, Fl and trained under the wing of RJ Mitchell and Rolann Owens at Rolann’s School of the Dance. Their talent, care, and influence continue to inspire her. As a national  title holder and award winning performer, Caitlin had the unique opportunity to travel the country and world with the best teachers and choreographers in the industry in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Jazz. This fueled her love of dance, prepared her to work with students of all levels and backgrounds, and inspired her to create a space to both create her own projects and teach in a community setting.  Committed to community outreach, Caitlin wants to make the freedom of movement and self expression accessible to all. In Miami, she headed the dance program for The University of Miami’s Summer Theatre Academy 3 years in a row, teaching and choreographing over 250 students per summer. Caitlin also spent 2 years working with LAUSD to bring dance to after school programs in select elementary, middle and high schools in Los Angeles. She frequently travels to NY where she teaches master classes, community outreach special needs dance classes,  and choreographs shows for The RedHouse Theatre, where she was nominated for two SALT awards for her work in their 2014 season.  Whether their goals are to become professional dancers and performers,  or to explore the art form recreationally, Caitlin’s mindful approach prepares her students to successfully apply their skills to whatever they pursue with an open heart and respect for their fellow artists and collaborators. As a performer, Caitlin has toured the country as a National Award winning competitive dancer, performed in shows for Walt Disney World and Nickelodeon, in theaters all across the country, in National Commercials, and projects for Television and Film.
