Parkour Ninjas Class:Extremely popular in urban settings and parks; we know you’ve seen parkour practitioners flipping and vaulting with their GoPros all over LA. We love how parkour/freerunning helps our students problem solve and look at life’s obstacles as an opportunity for creativity. Parkour classes include obstacle courses, running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, and quadrupedal movement. This class works on the foundational movement of parkour building strength, confidence, safety techniques, and coordination.
Djedhi Gymnastics: This Mindful practice is great for your SUEPER HERO in training! Includes acrobatics, martial arts tricking, floor work routines, dance, yoga and an end of class meditation. Flip, fly and flow through space in fun and unique ways. Strengthening, stretching and stabilising the body and mind through a fun class of movement exercise.
Specialty Workshops: Check out our schedule for the most up-to-date movement workshops available! The Blue8 is home to professional performers and teachers in many styles, so all of our students have the opportunity to study many amazing styles of movement including kung fu, yoga, acrobatics, parkour, and aerial silks just to name a few. We even offer adventure classes that get you training out in nature with hiking, canyoneering, tai chi, yoga and more!
Blue8 students are empowered to creatively express themselves and test their limits through a dedicated practice they look forward to each week. Whether their goal is to become a professional performing artist, or to explore the art forms recreationally, the Blue8’s mindful approach prepares students to successfully apply their skills to whatever they pursue with an open heart and respect for their fellow artists and collaborators.
Parents, siblings, and friends are welcome to observe class, grab a seat and work on their laptop in the lounge, or drop off and pick up students.
The Blue8 also coordinates with schools in Los Angeles and Culver City to provide extracurricular arts programming to interested families in the school setting. From pre-school to high school, the Blue8 is experienced in creating programming to engage students of all ages!
